PUPPY SOCIALIZATION AND BASIC COMMANDS: $150
A 10-week class for puppies 8-16 weeks of age, must be current with all vaccinations. An important orientation program is included.
BASIC OBEDIENCE AND PREP FOR ADVANCED CLASS: $150
A 12-week class; this class is required before taking any advanced training.
This class shows you how to teach your dog the commands, “sit,” “heel,” “down,” “stay,” recall (“come”) and “stand” as well as good house manners. The course includes fun games and activities to play with your dog.
CANINE GOOD CITIZEN (CGC) TRAINING: $150
This class teaches the skills required to pass the CGC Test. The test is included as part of the course.
Canine Good Citizen is a program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
OBEDIENCE CHALLENGE: $150
This class is for dogs that already know solid obedience, have good social skills (with dogs and humans) and are ready to be challenged by working in teams with other dogs. The class consists of games, challenges and class competitions to strengthen obedience skills.
SERVICE DOG CERTIFICATION: $300
Certification is included in our Service Dog Training.
This 3-hour review class and testing combination is intended for service dog teams who 1) are disabled, 2) have completed Service Dog training, and 3) have completed Public Access training.
Service Dog Certification and Three Hour Class is offered independently to service dog teams already working.
SERVICE DOG TRAINING:
This is a 6-month series of classes intended to help you train your dog to become a Service Dog. The complete cost of a certified service dog is $5000. We will help you request funding and sponsorship if you would like. You may pay for individual classes as they are offered if that is more convenient for you. All classes attended must be prepaid.
This program requires and includes:
$25 Application Fee, non-refundable.

First Service and Therapy Dog Orientation Class is included with the Application Fee: “What is a Service or Therapy Dog”
After the first Orientation class, if you want to continue with Service Dog training, you will be directed to attend Orientation, phase 2 (testing your dog for Basic Obedience) and phase 3 (orientation and discussion about the Gabby Jack Ranch program, including what you will be required to do and what you can expect. These two classes require a non-refundable fee of $100 which will be applied to your total fee for the Service Dog training.
Advanced Service Dog Task Based training begins and you will be charged $1800, less the $100 fee required for Orientation. You will select classes in one of these areas:
- Mobility Service Dog
- Psychiatric Service Dog,
- Medical Alert Service Dog
PUBLIC ACCESS TRAINING
Public Access Review and Test (3-hour session). Upon completion, you will receive a picture ID for you and your dog, a certificate of completion and a graduation gift bag. You may order a Gabby Jack Ranch service dog vest at any time. The fee for this vest is $100.00.
THERAPY DOG TRAINING:
Pet Therapy Dog Training: $150
This class is designed for people who wish to participate in Animal Assisted Activities or Animal Assisted Therapy with their dog. You and your dog will be introduced to the skills needed to prepare for evaluation and registration with a pet therapy organization.
This is a two part program, part one is a 10-week basic training for Therapy Dogs and part two is a 4-month Advanced Therapy Dog Training program. This program requires and includes:
$25 Application Fee, non-refundable

First Orientation Class is included with the Application Fee: “What is a Therapy Dog”
After the first Orientation class, if you want to continue with Therapy Dog Training, you will be directed to attend Orientation, phase 2 (testing your dog for Basic Obedience) and phase 3 (orientation and discussion about the Gabby Jack Ranch program, including what you will be required to do and what you can expect. These two classes require a non-refundable fee of $100 which will be applied to your total fee for the Therapy Dog training.
The Basic Therapy Dog Training program, a 10-week class, is $150, less the $100 fee paid for Orientation (total balance due for class is $50)
Advanced Therapy Dog Training: $1000
This class is offered for teams that plan to specialize in high intensity programs. The Basic Therapy Dog Training is required as a prerequisite. You will select specialty areas, such as:
- Facility Dog
- Court or Victim/Witness Dog
- Ministry Dog
- Trauma Dog
The class fee for this advanced program is $1000. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate of completion and a graduation gift bag. You will be eligible to take the test for certification offered by the Delta Society or other Therapy Dog certification programs.
If you are unable to pay for the advanced classes, we will help you with ideas for fund-raising activities and give you suggestions to request sponsorship. If we have funds available at the time, you may apply for a scholarship. **Scholarships are available only as available funding permits.
NOTE: The Gabby Jack Ranch does not offer Pet Therapy Dog Certification at this time, graduates from the High Performance Therapy Dog program do receive certification and an identification tag.
**Upon approval to the scholarship program, all applicants for a dog or advanced training must pay a Program Setup Assessment (fee) of $500, even those who qualify for donated/discounted dogs and services. This fee helps the Gabby Jack Ranch pay the fixed expenses related to our program. (Payments can be arranged, if necessary.)
